Assembly " Restaurant World
Ýêñïî-2001 " has gathered wine professionals.
The alcoholic program stipulated
within the limits of September Assembly " Restaurant
World Ýêñïî-2001 " which Publishing group " Show-window
"(Vitrina) has lead on September, 5th and 6 in hotel
" Renaissance ", has included some unprecedented
actions. These are Master-classes of the Russian and foreign
experts on wines and alcohol drinks, practical works for beginners
and competitions for professionals.
As " the star visitor " on Assembly has acted one
of the experts on whiskey recognized all over the world Tierri
Benita, the owner and director of the largest center La Maison
du Whisky, the author of numerous publications and books on
this theme. He has lead before the guests of a restaurant
the master-class forum under the name " Everything, that
you wished to learn about whiskey ".
One more master-class, devoted to art of drawing up of wine
lists at restaurant, has lead the constant author of "
the Wine list ", vice-president of the Russian sommelier
association Alexander Kuptsov. On Assembly he also has presented
the new book project which prepares Publishing group"
Show-window "(Vitrina).
The Russian Sommelier association and personally its president
Alexey Sidorov have lead on Assembly a practical work "
Wine in hands of sommelier " during which have shared
secrets of the trade and have acquainted listeners with existing
schools in Russia.
The similar presentation was lead for Assembly " Restaurant
World Expo-2001 " and Barmen Association of Russia (BAR).
Vice-president of the BAR, the famous Moscow barman Denis
Temnyj has lead a practical work " How to work with strong
alcohol drinks ", and the president of the BAR Sergey
Tsyro has acted at the seminar " Larceny at a restaurant.
How to fight with crude illness ". Every participant
has been handed free of charge the copy of the book - wine
practical work for beginners “Account up to 40°” with which
guests and participants already could get acquainted on April
Assembly " Wine World Expo-2001 ".
One of the nominations of Competition of the restaurant design,
which is for the first time passed within the limits of Assembly,
became " the Best wine list ". The competent jury
made of the Russian experts on wines, alcohol drinks and restaurant
business, has chosen some of the most worthy wine lists which
have been exposed on court of guests and participants of Assembly.
Each interested person could familiarize with these lists
at exposition zone and to give the voice in favor of one of
them (voting was lead by means of personal cards). Results
of questioning of " spectator sympathies " have
been announced together with the decision of professional
jury. Authors of the best wine list have received the Honorable
diploma of Publishing group " Show-window " (Vitrina)
and a memorable gift - James Sili's book " Great wines
of Bordeaux " with the author's autograph. As the sponsor
of this prize acted company "Wineland".
In second time there has passed Olympiad of wine schools during
restaurant Assembly. As the general sponsor of this competition
came forward the Trading House "Rusimport" which
awarded prize-winners with memorable gifts, and the winner
received the Grand prix - a trip to France. This time an obligatory
condition of competition was presence in commands-participants,
except for the master and graduates, at least, one "junior"
- the pupil or the graduate of school with the experience
of work by a trade not more than 3 months.
The interesting program has passed in the Zone "C"
where the tobacco and alcoholic companies have presented cigars
in a combination with strong alcohol drinks. Here, under aegis
of club " Choice of Quality ", founded by the newspaper
" the Wine list ", took place the first comparative
tasting of cigars "blindly".
One of "nails" of Assemblies became the first restaurant
Fair of vacancies. It worked during two days, on September,
5th and 6, in a hall "Odessa" of the hotel “Renaissance
". Many companies, suppliers and restaurants have corrected
with its help theirs personnel business, and carriers of restaurant
professions - have found the best variant of employment.
